Few people know that, but it is perfectly possible to make good home bread without a machine.

[…]

The necessary ingredients and materials are:

500g of flour.
a bag of baking yeast (5g).
1.5 teaspoon of salt.
300g of lukewarm water.
a large container.
a wooden spoon.
baking paper.
an oven.

The manufacturing is done in seven stages:

- Start by mixing flour, yeast and salt in the container.
- Add the water and stir with the wooden spoon until you get a uniform dough.
- Put a towel on the container and let stand for 30 minutes in the warmest place in your home.
- Lose the baking paper on the baking sheet and sprinkle with flour.
- Put the dough on and give it an elongated or round shape according to your desire.
- Put a towel on it and wait 45 minutes.
- Remove the towel, water with a little water and bake at 200° for 30 minutes.

You will get a better bread than in most Parisian bakeries that can be eaten for 4 to 5 days.

It is possible to vary the recipe by mixing wheat flour with others. For example, chestnut flour gives an excellent bread to accompany cheese and jam.

Attention: some people consider self-accommodation bakery is a bobo/hipster thing that ruins shops. If you receive them for dinner, don't forget to take an industrial baguette to respect their convictions.
